I worked on the UCSD Pascal project which started from the P2 compiler that Wirth created for the CDC computer. I loved working on the project and even more learning so much about compilers, linkers, OS design and how to make it all work really well and pretty darn fast for a PDP-11/02 with 64K of RAM and a floppy disk.
He will truly be missed.
