For having accessed to its SDK, it's indeed very "proprietary"-oriented.
It is Linux based but restricted to a given version and has a lot of
binary blobs
for graphics and video acceleration.
Upstream part of this SDK would also be very profitable for this SoC
(but less than PowerVR though).
