People wanting something for their own purposes is
not a compelling argument for why a trade association
should fund this work.

Christien Reis' presentation discusses some good reasons
that a free driver would be preferable to a proprietary
driver.  I don't want an exposition on the value
proposition of the whole free software movement, but
it would be good to call out some specific benefits,
*for CE vendors*, for this work.

Like: reduced maintenance, easier bug fixing,
more control over SoC-specific optimizations, etc.
that result in reduced cost or greater customer
satisfaction.
