Completely agree with you about the Hollywoodness.  The "over the top" SFX
actually overshadow Bond.  My son, another Connery purist, says "they are
great BDF movies, but they are NOT Bond movies".  He lumps them into the
same genre as the "Die Hard" flicks.  Guess they're a sign of the times,
unfortunately...

I don't mind Brosnan so much. I think the real problem with the latest ones 
is the new Hollywoodness that has been added to the movies.
