I truly wish the German people hadn't fallen for "gun control" back when.
Maybe then I would have been able to actually meet my aunts and uncles. I
hear they were some really wonderful people.
Unfortunately, though, some very well-dressed soldiers wearing jackboots
showed up one day at their doorsteps after all the guns were confiscated,
and simply said "this way, please." A little while later, German guards
stood in their still-hot ashes to keep their boots warm in the freezing
Aushwitz winter.
I wish I could have loved them.
