Yep - I remember when Presidents had some inkling of the US as being a leader and a 
pace setter in the global community (yes, I know
that the US has always also set bad examples) but Bush is completely driven by the 
forces that got him elected (was he elected?  I
seem to remember that he wasn't).  Reagan did the same thing at the expense of the 
middle class and the environment...
