Well - the next generation of machines won't be until at the very least next
Christmas so you'll have at least 18 months of use before you'd have to feel
behind the curve.
Besides anything you buy now will be out of date shortly - there really is
no better time than the present to get into just about anything.
But of you've got friends with XBoxs then go with that (as much as I prefer
PS2) just because you can then easily mooch their games. ;^)

Most of my friends have an Xbox. I'd consider getting one but I would
hate to get some thing that will be out of date shortly. Then again the
