One small difference....

Al Qaeda ATTACKED US. DIRECTLY. THIS IS PROVEN (THEY ADMITTED IT).

Al Qaeda's leadership was BASED IN AFGHANISTAN.

Ergo, that invasion was not pre-emptive. That invasion was a direct armed
response to aggression against our country, within our own borders. That
invasion was undertaken with worldwide (for the most part) support.

whats the difference?

corrupt leaders?
oppression?
unequal rights for women?
terrorist breeding ground?
unable to care for themselves in ousting a corrupt ruler?

come on.

if the insurgency sprouted there, like it did in iraq...it would be the
same bitching.

you cant plan around psychotic religiously driven maniacs...you just
cant, you adapt and overcome, the best you can, and you move on.

Tim, I personally don't have a problem with us going into Afganistan.
It seems the world didn't have a problem with us going into
Afganistan.  They have had some issues with us going into Iraq though
and that's where my complaints are.
