The administration made the claim that Saddam is a supporter of terrorism
which leads to the general instability of the region. By allowing an arm of
al-Qaeda operate from Iraq he supports, however minor, al-Qaeda, by giving
$20k to the families of Palestinian bombers, he supports terrorism directly,
he funds it.

All of this leads to the general instability of the region. I don't question
the patriotism of anybody; I question the people who spin the news to meet
their agenda,

assuming that Saddam did in fact make the offer, I believe that
al-Qaeda is not the same thing as the Palestinians? I don't think
anyone is saying Saddam was a nice guy or an ideal neighbor for the
rest of the Mideast. But the question is, I thought, whether he was
working with al_Qaeda, one, and two whether or not the Bush
administration said he did.

It seems to me that we have gone from questioning the patriotism of
those who question the link to questioning the patriotism of those who
remember a link being made.
