and wasn't David Corresh (SP?) denied the right to bear arms or did I miss
the real reason they went in on him?
OR am I misunderstanding this amendment.
In actual fact, David Koresh was a licensed Firearms dealer. It was never
revealed by the government that he was a danger to anyone in connection with the
buying and selling of firearms. The original warrant was for the possession of
assault weapons, (which was never proved) and used as a pretext to murder him
and his followers. The final assault on his compound was approved by the then
Attorney General Janet Reno, after her Agents told her he was Abusing Children.
(This was also subsequently proved to be a completely false assumption, after
extensive psychological examination of children who survived the holocaust.) To
date, not a single agent was sanctioned because of providing the false
information, just as it was in the case of the Ruby Ridge murders.
This abuse by Federal Agents and the then Attorney General, gave rise to laws
restricting the abuse by Agents unless checks and balances were in place, via
the Judicial branch of the government. Such checks and balances which have
subsequently been stripped away by the Patriot act, and the abuse of power
begins again.
