Sometimes it's just stress - that seems to be when it just hits you all of
a sudden. Sometimes it's more of a long term thing caused by an unhealthy
lifestyle or genetic predisposition. First line treatment in all cases is
pretty much the same; get some exercise, eat healthier, practice stress
reducing strategies (exercise, yoga, meditation, etc.) and consult a
doctor just in case. Although I would suggest not jumping on medication
for it right off the bat. Believe it or not, good chiropractic care can
really help with this. At least that's been my experience.
