He said he was ordered into combat with certain equipment and methods
that, in retrospect, he considered war crimes.

I don't consider war crimes a "good thing" I consider the fact that
when he returned (or earlier) he realized what he was doing was wrong
and chose to speak out a good thing.

The problem I have with all of this is that in the fog of war what's
not a war crime?  Obviously you can point out the huge systemic
problems like Mai Lai or Abu GrabA** but overall stuff happens.

I'm sorry that you're lost.  Here's the key point to this thread: Mr.
Kerry never claimed to have actually committed the crimes he listed in
his congressional testimony as the Swifties have implied.
