Yes, you're right, despised is too harsh of a word. It is based on polls I've read that said 90% of people in middle east countries have a negative or very negative view of the United States compared with 70% in Europe and 65% in Asia. > Other developments like Germany getting a piece of the Iraq pie equal to the > kickbacks it was getting from the 'oil for food' program maybe? Probably. Diplomacy is the art of the possible. Mr. Bush's policy has been to lock out anyone who didn't support the war from the reconstruction contracts. Not too smart. > Or we can just listen to what Kerry himself has said. Probably not. For example, let's say Mr. Holbrooke has met with both Germany and France and agreed, in principle, to a Iraq troop plans. They wouldn't want this to be public information since it would jepordize relations should Mr. Bush win. Mr. Kerry and Germany and France, however, may make cryptic references to it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Sams Teach Yourself Regular Expressions in 10 Minutes by Ben Forta http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=40 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:132627 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
