Putting this into practical terms....if i'm an ordinary resident of Fallujah, here's my situation:
I've got two foreign entities blowing the shit out of each other in MY town. I hate them both, and I want them both OUT. The outcome of the battle is not really in doubt. Therefore, I root for the Americans to rout the so-called insurgents as quickly as possible, then get the hell out. If you want to know what the "average Iraqi" is in favor of?
