At this point, I'd be interested in who can give me a better peace, quicker. I probably don't trust the Americans (i've been taught my whole life not to), but they've promised an election, they've promised to leave, etc....the insurgents have promised nothing but violence.
At the VERY least, an insurgent defeat and a relative peace forces the Americans to either be true to their word, or not. At least that gives me a chance at peace. I don't even see a chance the other way. And maybe...just maybe...it's a peace governed by a fellow Iraqi that I helped vote in. > > Yes but peace as governed by whom?
