Oh man, I borrowed an old (50's) Craftsman hand plane from a friend
for a project I was working on. It was so amazing. Solid construction
and it made the most beautiful ribbons. I could shave for six feet and
get a continuous ribbon. No jittering.

In comparison, the plane I bought new for the project from a local
hardware store barely even worked. It jittered like crazy and the
shavings were all broken and rough.

I'd love to do woodworking, but I don't have the place for the
equipment. I can barely fit the DeWalt 12" compound miter saw as it
is.
