I was lucky enough years ago to be able to take metal shop with the boys as an elective in school. One of the coolest things we made was a screwdriver. But only because we got to use a lathe :D
I was just watching The New Yankee Workshop and he had to make pegs for this really cool bench/table piece, and it reminded me how cool lathes were. One of these days!!! I'll have one.
