Actually, I have held the position for a very long time that Saddam Hussein was more like Hitler than anyone else. Let's draw some straightline comparisons here: - Hated Jews, America and any race other than their own. - Took control of all political power in the country after being legitimately voted into office. - Invaded neighboring countries for personal pride and financial gain. - Committed horrile atrocities to the populace of their own country. - Felt that they were born to do great things. - Mocked the standing International Organization (League of Nations for Hitler, UN for Hussein) - Researched and built banned weapons programs and restricted research going on while their country was under direct orders not to do so. - Created and used a secret police system to control through intimidation and violence the opinion of their country's population. In regards to the WMD - I never expected us to find anything signifigant after the time that we gave him to remove them from the country. It has been documented by more than one country and verbalized by many fleeing scientists that Hussein was working on a variety of weapons programs, WMD or otherwise, that were forbidden under the conditions of the Gulf War cease-fire. In regards to his support of terrorist movements, ask the Palestenians who signed their "death checks" for the walking bombs. The President's "War on Terror" doesn't stop with those groups that the broadcast news agencies name such as Al Queada.
