I just pinged him good. I told him SSP, my division of the corporation, policy is that IS personnel name their systems what they please so they can be easy to map to over the network.
He responded that that was not EATEL policy so I asked for the policy in writing, from Human Resources. Since it is an IS policy, HR won't send it. Also, we at SSP are exempt from the EATEL IS policies since we maintain our own systems. I already have one "You sonnanabitch!" message from another admin. He is really ranting now. My manager and the production manager here are laughing about this. They will step in later this afternoon to slap this guy down, but they want him wound up pretty good before they do. I think the next step will be to ask to meet with him face to face here to discuss the issue. I'll send him an Outlook meeting request after lunch.
