I'm not a fan of all-caps. It makes things harder to read. The first logo is happy-go-lucky. The second logo reminds me of Red Spot paint for some reason. I would pick the first over the second, but I'm wondering about the duplicate icon. What if you have the full icon to the left, but the letter "o" is just the solid, dark center? (Basically, a filled-in "o".) That would give some cohesion with the icon and the text, but not totally duplicate the icon. I like the colors. I see that the main letters "S" and "P" are orange, yet the "o" is orange as well. I think that takes away from the two words and makes it almost look like three. If you remove the orange rectangle from the "o", that may make me feel better. I would also move the icon closer to the text and possibly length the descender of the lower-case "p". It takes a bit longer to recognize that as a "p". However, I'm no designer, but I knows what I likes. If I'm off-base, just tell me to shut up. ;) I did catch the subtle theme of the "spot" on the "pad". Hence, SpotPad. Very clever. M!ke
