Check out your county's website. I worked for a title search
application about a year and a half ago and our subject matter expert
stepped me through land title searches.

 Often you can do these searches online. However some counties (rather
most) will charge for the on line searches. If you do the search in
person at the county courthouse, its ususally free. Part of the
information returned by the title search are lien and easement
information.
