Hmm, that's a bit low! ;-)
Check your recording quality, CD quality for wav files is 
44kHz, stereo and equates to 172KB/sec or 604MB's for an hour.
Although in saying that you only need to match record quality with
stream quality,  basically match the sample rate (kHz) in the
sampler/recorder to rate that stream was recorded in.

I forgot about the 60 second limit in sound recorder.
You can use GoldWave to record long (1GB) files, or Sound Forge if you
want to pay out for the best.

(I used GoldWave to record some live house DJ sets back in in Boston so
they could make CD's etc.  Worked like a charm.)
