Might be a bad sign, might not.  In my book that would give him a
candidate a negative mark, especially since I expect a developer to
bring his "best work" that's been gone over with a fine tooth comb to
an interview.  But even so, there are plenty of other things that
could outweigh a few sloppy quote marks.  This thread reminds me of a
recent 100 message (or so) thread on CF-Jobs-Talk where folks were
discussing similar litmus tests to determine what makes someone a "low
level" or "mid level" developer.  There are just too many different
things that could be measured to make any type of simple test.
