I think the whole gist of this issue is why do you want to waste your time typing each and every single character when the editor does it for you? Not to mention the editor can quickly insert snippets, code templates, etc.
To me, it's nothing to be proud of when stating you use Notepad. To me, it is a waste. I actually replaced notepad. The first time, I replaced it with metapad<http://www.liquidninja.com/metapad/>. When I got a new laptop, I replaced it with programmer's notpad<http://www.pnotepad.org/>. These replacements are used only when absolutely necessary. Like a quick view of source and such. The thought of programming in notepad conjurs of visions of working in a salt mine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:158365 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
