At present she is a symbol of the President's failure in Iraq, a war a majority of Americans have come to believe they were duped in to. I think it just looks horribly bad when the President drives past a grieving widow in his fancy motorcade on a way to a fund raiser. It's what Boss Hogg would do. Now you can make all of the arguments about the Secret Service and he already met with her and blah, blah, blah, but the fact remains that the President just dusted a grieving widow who's son died in a war he started under what most Americans believe were false pretenses. That reinforces Mr. Bush's negative stereotype of an aloof, arrogant, fool. There's still symbolism. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Captivate from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=52 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:170211 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
