We had a student employee that was just the same. In the first week he kept
arguing about how to do DB design with Deanna. Ha! We booted him out of the
office.

Jason started with us as a student and while he was a smartass it was in a
good way and he always asked us how to do something if he didn't know how to
do it. And he didn't know jack about HTML standards, CF, Oracle, CSS or
anything. But he asked the right questions, listened to what we told him,
and knew how to look up stuff for himself on Google. Now he's full time with
us.

Don't put up with shit. But at the same time it takes months of little
projects building up basic concepts to get a person broken in. I think I
never even told Jason about DTDs until 6 months in. Which was when he
started to really try cool stuff with CSS.

Good luck.
