We'll being hearing a lot from him. I don't know if we'll see that same swaggering-hero guy that annoyed so many people, but he's definitely back.
Let's face it, the summer could hardly have been any worse for the country. New Orleans partially destroyed and totally evaucated, severe refinery damage in the Gulf leading to huge gas price spikes, increasing interest rates, and the slow trickle of casualties in Iraq depressed the hell out of everyone. The good news is that Bush feels better and is projecting it because the economy is better, Iraq is better, and gas prices are lower. Consumer confidence just hit a two year high. The President always gets a bump when things go well, even if they are things that he doesn't control. Having said that, the real tests of the President's status will be voting in Iraq this week, Patriot Act renewal, Anwar drilling, and budget cuts to pay for Katrina relief funding. Iraq will go well and we'll start to see a down-down in troop level by mid-2006, which will make everyone happy as long as Iraq stays stable. All of the other stuff is legislative work and I don't know if Congress has the will-power to get it done. >I just saw an excerpt from an interview of Mr. Bush by Brian Williams, >and, I have to say, I think the best of Bush is back. > >I think we're going to be hearing a lot more from him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:187780 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
