I agree, but I think that's stupid.  We need to be adding more troops,
not less, or pulling back to watch what happens ala Murtha.  At
*best*, from what I've read, we can expect Iraq to transition over the
next 5 years into a loose federation of 3 groups.

This is if all of the voting goes well, the politicians stop getting
blown up, etc.  And even with all of our troops there now, there's
still plenty of killing of Iraqis.  I just don't see how in 6 months
they'll be in a position to handle it.  WE can't even handle it NOW.

So for all the talk by the President of not running Iraq policy by
polls, I think that's exactly what he'll be doing by pulling troops
out.  He needs to adding, not pulling.

And Iraq is going to be a mess for decades.  He fekked up getting us
in, and I don't see any positive outcome unless we're committed at
larger than the current levels for at least a decade.
