>>News flash, they are the governments in many cases. > > In many cases, the governments have allowed Islamic groups to foment bad > feelings against the West to deflect criticism of their own internal > policies. I would > distinguish those countries- like Saudi Arabia- from countries like Iran. Saudi Arabia, which is ruled by an extremely racist and xenophobic version of Islam that they've been exporting across the world vs. Iran who's just been funding terrorists and allegedly building nukes. Oh, wait. Saudi Arabia funds terrorist also. Yes, lets make sure we note the differences.
>>Wait. That's something important. No one cares. > > I think most of the world, including most of Europe and half of the U.S., > wants to believe that the WMD were never there. Why? Because the > alternative is really > scary, because it means we are at the beginning of a potentially much > larger conflict than just the fight in Iraq. You miss my point. No one cares about what's happening in the Muslim world beyond apologizing to them for some cartoons. No one cares that any religion in a Muslim nation is automatically a suppressed minority when they're allowed to exist at all (Saudi Arabia officially has no members of any religion other than Islam and practicing any other religion is a crime). No one cares that militant, racist and xenophobic versions of Islam is being exported across the world by oil rich Muslims. No one cares that the American prison system has been turned into a breeding ground for militant Islam though these same teachings. No one cares that Muslim immigrants across Europe are refusing to integrate into the society that is now supporting them. No one cares that there IS a culture war going on and we will lose it. People only care about apologizing now, not hurting feelings and hoping that the problem will either go away or be a problem for a future generation. That's what I mean by no one cares because no one does. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:197484 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
