I'm not missing the point, I just disagree with parts of what you are saying. I agree that the Wahabi extremists are exporting jihad, etc. I think people do care, but the situation has gotten so out of hand that no one wants to stand up and face the problem. I don't think the general sentiment is apathy as much as it is cowardice, and to some extent admiration for the lunatics by some idiots in the West.
The U.S. prison system is a breeding ground for all sorts of bad things, and those problems are largely due to apathy, IMHO. As for Muslim immigrants in Europe, I believe this is a problem mostly of Europe's making. European countries let all these immigrants in as a source of cheap labor, but they pushed them into suburban ghettos and failed to allow them entry into "cultural Europe". Basically they were looked at as the hired help and not as Europeans. I agree that too many people are stuck in this stupid defensive posture, when in fact we have nothing to apologize for and we ought to be kicking the crap out of these lunatics. >You miss my point.
