My ex continues to be an evil bitch... I'll own up to having made the mistake of marrying her. :) She's in a 3 bedroom mobile home (rental) in Texas with our kids at the moment. Earlier today she was on the phone with Tiff and told her that she thinks I should take the first job I get and that Tiff and I should move into a 1 bedroom apartment in DC and get 4-5 roommates. Her response to Tiff having researched things she can do to help her out financially, like short-term local aid since things are wierd for us here, essentially boiled down to that she didn't want to be bothered to take the time to dig up her papers and wait to talk with someone about her situation. She'd apparently much rather a kick-ass CAD job just fall into her lap through no fault of her own at some indeterminate point in the future after having relied on me to pay her way between now and then. Unfortunately there's really not anything I can do about her at this point. She's half a continent away, I can't afford any kind of legal action, and bitching at her on the phone is only going to make it harder for me to talk to my kids. At home, Tiff and I argue about things like normal people. If I'm not liking something she's saying or doing, then I tell her and we hash it out. The ex and I argued when we lived together, although in retrospect that whole situation was pretty fucked. I hadn't stood up for myself nearly enough. If I had, then we wouldn't have been married in the first place.
