OK, so you call me a dumb ass and an asshole - because I said in this situation, being in a Christian household was a benefit. I didn't ask you or anyone else to join, I simply stated a fact of my life. So, let's go ahead and make the assumption that I am indeed an asshole and a dumb ass, because of course, you don't know me.
How about you join me in a thought experiment - if I'd said that we were in an S&M relationship, would your response have been the same? Would there even have been a thought experiment? I've got another thought experiment for you - I'll join you in this one, because I only know what you've written to this list, so that's what I'll base this on. Let's think about what your life would be life if you weren't so unusual. Let's thought experimentize that you might have a good job if perhaps you weren't so unusual. Let's wonder if you actually had the internal fortitude to do something besides give in to your basest desires that perhaps you wouldn't have to pay your wife most of your income, whatever it is, and you might figure out how to crawl out from under the mess that you alone have created. Even more, you might have the desire to better yourself to get the degree that so many people seem to need from you .. Let's wonder if that's really the need, or is it the fact that you're unusual and people can pick up on it? Let's wonder if your wife might get up off her ass and do something if you had the courage ask her to help. In the end, I realize that it's your life and yours is superior to mine, so who the hell am I to even pose these questions? As for my own screwed up life spent believing in a deity who obviously does nothing for me, I'll go on living in my nice house on a couple of acres of land, driving to work in my nice truck, to my terrific job, coming home to a wife who adores me and smiles all the time. I'll walk in the door and wonder to myself why my life is so screwed up. I'll wonder that ever time I go on a trip to visit my parents and every time I drive the new convertible we're buying this weekend. I'll wonder why it's so screwed up every time I go to church on Sunday and have people greet me at the door with a smile on their face and in their hearts. Well, you know, I can't tell if it's really in their hearts but at least I can see it on the face. I'll wonder why my life is so screwed up every time I hear "I love you" from my mom and grandmother and dad and my 5 brothers. I'll wonder how God can be so cruel. Then I'll think about what I know about your life and the lessons I can learn from you, because obviously, I know jack shit about living. As for merms, I don't care what happens. I feel bad that they are in the situation they face everyday, being different than other people. I can't help it, and I'm not the deity that decides how their relationships work out. What I do know is that I'm not with a merm. I've never met one to my knowledge - not that it's never happened. What I do know, however, is that they are faced with choices that you don't have to make. Your inclusion of these people with a genetic abnormality means nothing in this or any argument about our lives because neither of us are one. However, you are a genetic male, so you know, get some fucking balls. ----- Original Message ----- From: "S.
