Yep.  On the top/front of the motor.  Pretty easy to get to.  I have to
take off the air intake hose and mass air sensor, pop a few vacuum hoses
and then it's right there.

With the thermostat housing, the 90-degree bend comes up about 2" above
the motor and then turns to connect the heater hose.

The ^ on the engine block is the thermostat.
The Os are the thermostat housing/90.
The @s are the heater hose
The radiator is lower than the block/thermostat housing.
