Sounds similar to the Toyota Matrix RS that I bought a year ago... I like my little (well not so little, it's suprisingly roomy...) Matrix. And I'm getting ~34 mpg in the city as well. Was able to make a trip from phoneix to vegas and then drive around a bit on a single tank of gas (~460 miles on one tank...).
