Has anyone else been following this story?

The radio stations have decided that they don't want to play the Dixie Chicks.

Their new singles have gotten very little airplay, and even when they
are played, there is often a disclaimer or comment by the dj talking
in negative terms about the Dixie Chicks.

One chain of stations got 200 calls complaining about the album, so
they pulled the songs indefinitely. (They also recieved hundreds of
calls in support, but apparently those don't count)

On top of that, the mainstream media has decided to play up the
contention. Take for example the article on CNN

http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Music/05/22/music.dixiechicks.reut/index.html

Of course, since its release, it has been a top download on iTunes.

Just another case of where big money radio stations won;t play the
music the people really want to hear.

Does anyone else HATE the music industry, and hate the radio industry even more?
