You know, there is a theory that the world would have continued warming naturally to a point where life on earth would have been untenable if it was not for the 'un'-natural cooling that took place during the Ice Age as a result of what would appear to be meteor impacts.
The school of thought is that the earth is recovering from the Ice Age and is naturally heating up again as it would have done with/without mankind. The article posted by MIchael Shermer does not itself form a causative link between Mankind's use of fossil fuels and the increased warming of the earth. AFAIK we don't know at what rate the earth would be warming *without* mankind's burning of fossiel fuel. It is actually scientific fact that the Contrails caused by high altitude aircraft actually cause Cooling of the earth to the extent that this caused the famines in ethiopia by preventing the earth's normal seasonal warming, which is what brought rain clouds to those regions.
