Try this: Open WMP>tools>options>performance>advanced and uncheck "Use Overlays". This might fix the problem.
When overlays are used, the OS passes control of the display to the video card. In case you've never noticed, the actual color of the background is not actually black, it's like a very dark blue/purple. That area is where the OS gives control of the output of the video card for processing. The video card looks for that area and sends it's display to it. It's called an overlay, and it's a performance enhancing feature. When you disable overlays, you give control back to the OS to render the output. This decreases performance but might allow you to make the output move across both monitors because the OS can split the signal. Let us know if it works. - Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Davis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <cf-community@houseoffusion.com> Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 9:38 AM Subject: RE: Stretching TV Output across Two computer monitors >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Vivec [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 8:54 AM >> To: CF-Community >> Subject: Stretching TV Output across Two computer monitors >> >> Sooo..anyone know how to accomplish this? >> >> I have the ATI All in Wonder working with its standard TV output program. >> But when I try to stretch the program across two monitors it will only >> display the video signal on One monitor. >> >> So its either showing on the left, or on the right, even if the >> application window (Say Windows Media Player) is stretched across both >> monitors. >> >> I was hoping to link two 24 inch Monitors into one nice 48" one for the >> games :) >> >> How do I do this? > > Unfortunately that's just the way things seem to work - only one monitor > can > provide overlay capabilities at a time. > > Feel lucky tho' - back in the day it was only one monitor could provide > overlay capabilities at all. ;^) > > Jim Davis > > > > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:208648 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
