I'll repeat that one of the most patriotic things an American can do is be concerned when their government is denying liberty to someone without due process. It's a fundamental principle on which our country was based. Of course in this case these are not citizens (which I don't think changes the principle) and were, most probably, actively fighting against US forces in a war-type situation. When you combine those 2 principles I think there's an obvious middle ground of having some sort of public review process or, at a minimum, giving the Red Cross access to prisoners. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:209496 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
