The K&N filter by itself (I'm assuming this is it by the description) is worth 1-2% in horsepower I don't know if the mileage is any better.
If you get the air cleaner kit, which replaces the stock filter compartment and air tube to the throttle body, you can get about 5-10% in HP, but your mileage may start to slide. I was getting 17MPG with my Jeep, which is why I had to get rid of it. I just upgraded to a better air filter just to see if I could push out a couple more MPG, and it's washable so I don't have to buy another one. I get about 18 - 22 MPG with my JEEP, be nice to get more than that, it could pay itself off with the change you're talking about. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/message.cfm/forumid:5/messageid:210809 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
