The latest fad amongst the Dems is to call for Rumsfeld's resignation. Did the guy feck it up big time? Sure. Has the Pentagon suffered horribly under his leadership? Absolutely.
But Rummy serves at the pleasure of the President. That means the policy that Rummy is executing is crafted from or approved by the President. Changing Rummy won't change a thing. The President is happy with his work. It's kind of like demanding that Skilling get a new CFO; it wouldn't have changed ENRON, just who went to jail. So Dems. Enough of the high-ground histrionics.
