And people are becoming far less likely to admit they are wrong and be
able to apologise, replacing it with continued agression, and more
verbal attacks!!

I'm sick of it... I've unsubscribed from a few lists because of it. And
on a more personal level, I find myself prefering the confines of my
family and home to going out and having all this thrown in your face.

My theory is it's all to do with multimedia! For example, when I grew
up life was far less in your face than it is now... TV, Music, Movies
are all speeding by with so much happening on the screen (or in the
beat, ie, dancey duff-duff type music) that people brains are over
stimulated. As a result, it turns to agression and is used in everyday
life to keep the high level of stimulation they are used to.

What ever happened to people being humble? To be able to say, 'I am
wrong'? Nowadays people are more likely to thump you than to admit
they made a mistake... or for that matter shoot the crap out of you.

I believe that we live in a society that has been changed by
TV/movies/games AND music. And our brains cannot keep up with that
level of stimulation... techno music, kids cartoons, it's all splashed
across our tv sets so fast that it runs into other areas... driving for
example? Why do all these people feel the need to speed everywhere??

Don't get me wrong... I'm a guitar playing, Playstation loving, movie
nut... These things are all great, but why the need to speed everything
up, throw it all at you and over stimulate our minds?

Another element, I think, is frustration... how many of you are
frustrated as hell if you want to talk to someone at the phone company,
or the electricity company etc etc, only to come to a brick wall... the
automated phone answering system... isn't that the worst invention
ever?? I don't know about you guys... but I'm ready to shove the phone
up the phone companies arse by the time I've answered the fourteenth
option and waited for 20 minutes!

Ok, I apologise... I'll get off my soapbox and stop rambling and
raving!!

And if you don't agree with me, you can all *!&@ off because I'm right
and you are wrong!!!! :^) hehehehe
