"Live and let live and the golden rule are two of my biggest beliefs."
Assuming that they are Christians, "live and let live" is not a Christan
belief.
The "golden rule" definitely pertains here. I'd expect that any teacher in
this situation, Christian or not, would probably be fired as well.

"I really dislike people who use their power or positions of authority
to hurt others, or force others to act against their interests. That
is really a pet peeve."
What power did they have except complaint? You're saying that the parents
have no right to complain?

"I am disappointed in many people for being hippocritical, and failing
to live up to their own beliefs, or at least their public statements
about their beliefs (since the two are often at odds). This includes
myself often enough."
For a person who hates to be judgemental, you sure don't mind doing it. Me,
I'll live with the fact that I judge everyone based on that person's
actions. I don't mind saying that I do. It's the hippocrits that say they
don't.

I just realized that most people's idea of what Christianity is comes from
TV. Someone created the myth that Christianity is supposed to be a religion
of tolerance and acceptance of everyone exactly the way they are. That's
only a half-truth - Christians will accept you for whatever you are, but
they won't tolerate your crap. You'd better try to live right.
