big ben has been exposed as an average qb at the nfl level. good arm, good legs, good improvisor on the run, but an average pocket passer who makes too many mental errors and can be schemed by a good defense.
the team misses bettis and randle el more than they thought they would, and the defense can't dominate without the lead.
