The cheapest one will win. MS is pushing HD-DVD, so I see that being a major
point from a commercialization perspective.

The HD-DVD player for the xBox is about $200, which isn't a bad deal for
people that already have the xBox, but it brings the cost to be the same as
the PS3 for those that are buying new, and want HD-DVD support.

Sony does a lot for creating good new media types, however they tend to
price them to high, or can't get the content makers on board. Users are
going to go with some sort of compromise of money and quality.
