The simple fact is that: 1.) Correlation does not equal causation. 2.) There is enough statistical data to label GW as a intra-decade trend, but whether this exceeds common-cause variation or is special cause is not known (see point #1). 3.) We can act on our best guess which, if right, will have an impact of unknown scale: it may save our lives or it may not. Use this analogy: ------------------------------ You're 1000 miles from the nearest land and your boat has burned to the water line, but still floats. You've got a life raft w/ oars, some rations, some signaling items, and some survival items. Do you leave the wreck or not? Statistically you're more likely to die if leave, but you can't live on the wreck forever either. So do you act given the low probability of success or do you follow the odds, but knowing that if you're wrong you'll certainly die? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=RVJQ Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:232321 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
