You're exactly right. My point is that we're ALL victims of discrimination and we're ALL open to insults everyday from 1000s of sources. Ever heard someone say "redneck"? Should be off the list? How about calling WalMart customers fat? That's offensive. I could go on of course ... The point is, Imus didn't say anything THAT horrible and he said it in jest. It *maybe* deserves a public apology. That's it. So I agree with Gel, let the market work. I think the final impact will be quite surprising to those pushing for Imus's outster. And, while I don't think this will increase institutional racism (institutions rejected it, in fact) I do think it will increase personal racism. It's already started with the hate mail. So, in the end, everyone flipping out about Imus is doing a disservice to racism. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| ColdFusion MX7 and Flex 2 Build sales & marketing dashboard RIAâs for your business.
