Tim, But you were Army, training for Iraq, yes? Correct me if I'm wrong, but regular Air Force doesn't have nearly the same qualifying course, right? You know more about this than I do.

Why? Because you do sometimes end up super close to the bad guys and need to be able to still stoop the threat. If you're patrolling in a city or town you are going to be in close contact with the public, and with the enemy. I've had someone put their hands on my weapon before, he got slugged with knuckles on. He's lucky as hell I knew he was just curious or he would have been shot. -----Original Message----- From: Adam Churvis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2007 11:27 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: VA Massacre & Gun Control > I'd be the first one to try to disarm/subdue/kill him, because I've > had seven years of martial arts and self defense training. Pal, I'm a 46 year-old fat guy, and back in the day (many moons ago) I trained in either Tae Kwon Do or American Karate almost every day, so I know what "martial arts" can and can't do, and I can drop your ass attempting to do *anything* with me starting from a holstered pistol coming through a door with you anywhere in that classroom. If we see each other, you lose. Period. Can you please point to one instance of your scenario *ever* happening to someone who wasn't just a complete incompetent with a firearm? Crouch your tiger and hide your dragon all you want, your ass still goes down.
