I agree.  The Microsoft support guy I was talking to suggested at one
point that I start uninstalling or disabling programs one at a time
till I found out what was "incompatible" and just stop using that
program.

At that point I kinda went off a little, asking him which of the
applications that are vital to my business does he think I can do
without.  After a little pause I suggested that the only software on
my laptop that I can think of that's NOT vital to my business is
Windows Vista.

That was the last time he gave that suggestion.
