I thought the Zune was at 10% market share, which is higher than they expected it to be at this point.
When did they say 25%? As for the other things, being in a large company the MS world just makes more sense, it isn't strictly a cost thing, but just the capabilities. You speak of innovation, to say what you say about MS and innovation proves you don't understand most of what Microsoft does. You look at the desktop OS and assume that is Microsoft, but there is so much more that they do from a software and services side that nobody else even comes close to offering. The Desktop is a large portion of the MS public face, but that doesn't come close to the enterprise things they do. They have changed the way corporate email and Scheduling works with Exchange nobody else even comes close to a product like that. MS has basically taken over the smartphone market in the corporate world. Even if you use a blackberry it still connects to Exchange or Outlook. They did this through innovation and integration. > -----Original Message----- > From: Dave l [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2007 8:09 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: Gates and Jobs on stage together > > Im not saying that they dont. > btw~ you were mentioning hardware products and not software and of > course when you innovate a new product there are issues.
