What sorts of things do you like? There's tons to do in Chicago. Do you like tapas? Last time we were there we went to a fun tapas place. It's loud, but really yummy. It's called Cafe Iberico, and it's downtown, but not "impossible to park" downtown:
http://www.cafeiberico.com/ The patatas bravas and the queso de cabra were both excellent. You can also do the Hancock Observatory: http://www.hancock-observatory.com/ Great views of the city. Alternatively, there's a restaurant up there where you can go and get drinks and the same view. You'll probably spend as much, but hey - you get drinks! http://www.signatureroom.com/lounge/default.cfm?PID=15 Navy Pier is fun if you have kids, or if you're a big kid yourself: http://www.navypier.com/home.html If you like music, there's a plethora of good places to see bands. Double door tends to have local and regional touring stuff: http://www.doubledoor.com/shows.php Metro does some bigger alternative shows: http://metrochicago.com/shows/ There's a ton of theater and comedy in Chicago, as well. Here's good info: http://www.chicagotraveler.com/theater.htm The Chicago Reader is the free weekly paper that lists all the fun stuff to do: http://www.chicagoreader.com/ Is that enough options yet?
